APAI has sent another letter written by their counsel, Eric Gillespie, to Algonquin. This follows legal letters regarding health and noise, along with papers on ice throw and wildlife. They’ve been busy!

[...] The Amherst Island Wind Info site has posted a letter The Association to Protect Amherst Island (APAI) has sent to industrial wind project developer Algonquin Power Co.(.pdf) We are writing to you today to advise that if wind turbines are erected on Amherst Island APAI will be retaining the services of a qualified engineer in order to measure stray voltage on the properties of APAI members.The baseline measurement will occur one week prior to the turbines beginning operation and will occur on a regular basis thereafter. If any stray voltage is found to have occurred following the beginning of operations, the turbine(s) nearest to the locale where the stray voltage has occurred will be identified. APAI will be applying to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice seeking an injunction to stop the operation of the turbine(s) responsible for the stray voltage. [...]
